Alan, I would first like
to say thank you for designing such a great model. It's refreshing to
build and fly a Turbine model that performs up to and above the manufacture
specs. I test flew it today at a place called FOD ( field of dreams )
it's a grass strip that is 300 feet long set in the middle of a hay field.
The Boomerang weighed in at 29.98 lbs full of fuel, after a 40 foot roll
she was airborne and climbing with considerable authority. After the
normal trimming I tried a couple of loops and rolls, the aircraft handles
beautifully !!! Now slow flight this is the area I'm most interested
in since I have to get it back into a 300 foot strip with Hay fields
on all sides. With 25 deg of flaps it slows right down but not quite
enough to drop it in to our strip, next notch of flaps takes it to about
85 deg. PERFECT very controllable with no tendency to pitch, enough drag
that you need a pinch of power with full flaps. Spooled and configured
just the way you want it. Landing on the 300 foot grass strip is absolutely
no problem, by the end of the day I was easily using 100 to 150 feet
for landing. Thanks again.
Al,
Alan, My name is Darrel Hossalla and I live in Wisconsin (US) I own one of your intro's. This by far is the most fun I ever had flying Radio control. I been flying Heli's and fixed wing for about 12 years. I took the plunge in turbine and selected your jet...... This model is so simple to fly. My heart pounds faster on the way to the field than it does when I'm flying. Everyone at out flying field is very impressed. I WON"T be surprised if a few more intro's are ordered by my heli friends. Again, " Well Done Allan"
